I have over 30 years experience dealing with labour and employment issues.
In my first job at the University of Western Ontario, I was an officer of a small CUPE Local responsible for negotiating a renewal agreement. The management representative in that negotiation later became my office-mate when we both articled at Hicks Morley Hamilton Stewart Storie. After being an Associate at Hicks, I joined the Ontario Labour Relations Board as a Labour Relations Officer. I subsequently became a Labour Relations Specialist (Construction) which was later renamed Senior Mediator Construction. I recently left the Board after almost 22 years.
I earned my B.A. and M.A. in Philosophy at U.W.O. prior to getting my LL.B. there in 1993. I earned my LL.M. in Alternative Dispute Resolution through the part-time program at Osgoode Hall in 2000.
My outside interests have included serving as a member of the Board of Governors of the University of Western Ontario, Trustee of the London & Middlesex Roman Catholic Separate School Board, where I served terms as both Chair and Vice-Chair, and being a Past President of the Canadian Association of Aquarium Clubs.
I am offering services as an arbitrator, mediator, or neutral investigator.
